Philosophy: 'Man is the master of all and decides his own destiny.' The diagram represents Mount Paekdu, the sacred mountain of the Korean nation. It replaced Ko-Dang in current ITF-Vienna versions.
Juche (주체) represents the Korean philosophy of spiritual independence: 'man is the master of his own destiny and the decisive force of all things.' Its 45 movements and Mount Paekdu diagram reflect national identity. It replaced the historical Tul Ko-Dang in the ITF following the federation split in Vienna. It is the third Tul of 2nd Dan. It is technically one of the most difficult in the system: it introduces the jumping front kick (twio ap chagi nopi), the spinning side kick with full rotation in the air, the jumping spinning hook kick, and the cross block in tiger stance (kwon goro junbi). It is only performed at full speed after months of practice.
